Premium chef knife with rare and exotic Manzanita burl wood handle. I carved and finished this handle myself from a piece of locally grown Manzanita burl. The color is just exceptional. This piece is hand crafted here in Southern California using locally grown, exotic burl. This wood has not been dyed or treated in any way. Has only been finished using natural oils and waxes.  The last picture is an example of one of the burl slices with the shape of the knife drawn in.

The knife has exceptional hardness and sharpness, in line with industry standards and Manzanita wood is one of the hardest of the hardwoods. Manzanita wood is local to Southern California and I hand selected this piece personally from the cutter who sources this amazing wood. This product is locally grown, sourced ethically and made in the USA. In order to bring out the full beauty of the wood, I used an oil and wax finish, which is somewhat delicate. So wash gently with only warm water and soap.
